Policies

  • All pets must enter and exit the building on a leash.
  • We do not accept puppies under nine months old.
  • We retain the right to refuse to groom and/or board your dog based upon health conditions, temperament, flea/tick infestation, and age.
  • We reserve the right to report any signs of obvious animal abuse or neglect to legal authorities.
  • We do not accept checks for services rendered that equal $100 or more; a $35 returned check fee will be charge to any check under $100 that is not honored by our financial institution.
  • Please separate your dog’s meals into Ziploc bags to ensure that your pet is fed the appropriate serving size each day. Any food not pre-sorted will be returned to you and we will use our own food, for a charge of $5 per dog per day. If you require us to pre-bag your food for your pet, a $5 fee per day will be charged.
  • Please ensure that your dog comes to us clean and free of ticks or fleas. Any dogs that are dirty or that have fleas or ticks will be bathed and treated, at the owner’s expense!
  • All cats must enter Lake Wylie Pet Resort in a cat carrier.
  • All cats must have their necessary vaccinations, including Rabies, Leukemia, and FVRCP–additionally, cats must be at least 4 months of age to be boarded.
  • Cats that are being boarded must have their food in individually-portioned bags for the duration of their stay.
  • Please provide Lake Wylie Pet Resort with your pet’s current vaccination records and your current contact information.
  • Please label all items that you bring with your pet.
  • We charge an additional $10 per day for females in season and for males that have not been neutered.
  • We charge an additional $1 per day if your pet requires daily medication while under the care of Lake Wylie Pet Resort.
  • Check-in time is between 3 p.m. and 6p.m. Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday, and 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday.
  • Checkout time is between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Saturday, and 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday.
  • Early check-in and late checkout is available for $10 on Monday-Friday, only during business hours; there are no exceptions made and early check-in/late checkout is not offered on holidays.
  • Special before or after hours drop offs will incur a charge of $50.  No special drop offs will be accommodated on holidays–no exceptions.
  • If you are more than 15 minutes late for a grooming appointment, we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment without notice.
  • All services are by appointment only and must be during business hours. If you cannot make your scheduled appointment please call to reschedule. This is very important as time spent waiting for late appointments takes time away from time spent with our furry guests!
  • Any pet that requires extra handling or cannot go outside with other animals will be charged a $10 special handling fee per day of boarding.
